UBS Hainer GmbH is a software company, headquartered in the city of Lauterbach, located in Hessen in the country of Germany. “retest”, or “us”, or “we” refers to UBS Hainer GmbH. This Privacy Policy applies whenever you visit our website or otherwise access any of our other content, services, products, and/or other domains provided by UBS Hainer GmbH, together referred to as “Services.”

Information we collect

Personal Data

retest may ask you to provide your personal data if you would like to take advantage of its products or services. Personal data means any information that may be used to identify you, including, but not limited to, your name, company name, telephone number, email address, device identification, or a specific technology that can be used to reasonably identify you (Art. 4 (1) of the GDPR). retest has a legitimate interest to collect and process your personal data, namely to respond to your requests, to otherwise transact business with you, or in certain cases, as required by law.

Email and Marketing Communications

retest allows you to subscribe, only on an opt-in basis, to its blog, its weekly privacy news summary, or to receive company notifications by email. You can always withdraw your permission by clicking unsubscribe in the document.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed

Third Party Tracking

retest may track the use of the Website to analyze our marketing efforts, improve the services we offer, and improve the efficiency of the Website. We automatically collect user traffic patterns throughout cookies, which do not contain personal information. The collection of this type of information is for website operational purposes. Users who do not wish to have their data collected can opt-out of that collection via our site’s privacy notice, which can be accessed by clicking the “cookie consent” icon in the lower-right hand part of any page.

retest may use third party providers to power certain Website services such as retest’s newsletter, user comments, support or third party OAuth (social login) and the processing of payment information, including credit cards. We use Stripe to process your payment information. We use MailChimp to manage our email and marketing campaigns. We use HubSpot as our customer retention management system for marketing, sales, live chat and servicing new and existing clients.

We use Digital Ocean to run our infrastructure. We also use Google Analytics to analyze visitors to our site. Those third party providers may use third party cookies, for example session ID cookies, to make it easier for you to navigate the Website. The use of cookies by these vendors is not covered by this Privacy Statement. We do not have access or control over these cookies. You should check the applicable privacy policies of those third parties.

Other Websites

retest does not exercise control over the websites of third parties that you may link to or view as part of a frame on a page on this Website and therefore is not responsible for the actions and policies of such third parties. You should check the applicable privacy policies of those third parties before clicking through to them.

How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time. Administrators and support agents can also see and edit that information.

 

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How we protect your data

We carry out physical, technical and administrative security measures in order to adequately protect your personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure or alteration. These security measures include firewalls, data encryption, access control for data access, and careful selection of our server locations. We are committed to securing our systems and services. However, you yourself are responsible for the security and privacy of your passwords, account profile and registration data. Furthermore, it is your responsibility to ensure that the personal data we have about you is accurate and up to date. We are not liable for the protection of personal data which we disclose to third parties on the basis of an account link authorized by you.

If retest learns of a security breach, it may attempt to notify you electronically so that you can take appropriate protective steps. retest may also send an email to you at the email address you have provided. retest may also post a notice on the Website if a security breach occurs.

Where is your data stored?

Some of the servers used for our services are located in the Interxion data centers in Frankfurt. The server location is, inter alia, ISO 27001 certified. The locations in the computer center were rented from Digital Ocean LLC, New York. An order data processing contract was concluded with DigitalOcean. DigitalOcean is also subject to the EU-US Privacy Shield Agreement.

Children’s Privacy

This Website is not directed at nor targeted to children. If you have not reached the age of majority or are not able to enter into legally binding agreements in your country, you may not use this Website unless supervised by a responsible adult, who has given permission that can be verified. retest’s goal is to comply with applicable laws and regulations relating to the collection and use of information from children as defined by applicable laws.

If you believe that retest has received information from a child or other person protected under such laws, please notify retest immediately by email at privacy@retest.de or by mail at retest’s headquarters. Attention: Legal Department and retest will investigate the matter and if take reasonable steps to remove that information that may have been collected.

Changes and Updates

retest may occasionally update this Privacy Statement. When it does, retest will also revise the “Effective Date” at the top of the Privacy Statement. For changes to this Privacy Statement that may be materially less restrictive on retest’s use or disclosure of personal data, retest will notify you here or by means of a notice on its homepage or by obtaining consent via email. It is your responsibility to periodically review this Privacy Statement to stay informed about how retest is protecting your personal data.

Merger, Sale, or Reorganization

If retest should ever file for bankruptcy or have its assets sold to or merged with another entity, any information retest receives from you on this Website is a retest asset and may be transferred or sold without recourse.
